TBC Week #12: SaaS Startups and more...
Hello Guys,
To start off, this week we had a discussion on trending topics such as Bigbasket vs. Dailybasket, the Australian Government taking on tech giants, and much more. Also this week we had a watercooler conversation on the topic of High Tech SaaS startups with Rajit Bhattacharya - Founder and CEO of Data Sutram, an AI-enabled Location Intelligence Enterprise. "Data Scientist is the sexiest job of the 21st Century"- Following a global interest in data, Rajit began to dabble into its potential and by the time he was 19, was already involved in creating unique data-driven solutions for social and commercial sectors. His first clients include organizations like Future Group, Nirulas, Apollo Pharmacy, and various other MNCs.He was also Recognized under Top 15 Entrepreneurs from Eastern India by Youth 4 Business - an initiative by US Consulate and Contact Base.
Highlights of the Week:-
New Members:-
Well close to 100 members joined this week. A few of the mentions are:

Shubham Juria: Angel Investor, Startup Advisor, CA and Enterpreneur
Prajwal: Co-Founder of Analytics Station.
Discussion of the Week:-
Big Basket served a cease and desist notice to start-up Daily Basket for using the word 'basket' in its name. Well, this is not the first time that biggies have been a part of corporate bullying as way back in 2010 the same thing happened between Dettol and Devtol.
Australian government has asked the tech giant Google to pay local news outlets for featuring and linking their content on search platforms and because of this google has threatened the country to take off the search engine. Facebook on the other end is dubious and has started giving credits to news platforms on its platform.
